"Sword Bearer" is the first book in the Seeds of a Legend trilogy. The book tells the story of Jonran who, under the burden of a highly technological world, finds an opportunity to escape through a magic portal. He awakes to find himself on a more primitive planet and his body transformed into that of an ancient race of a long forgotten people.
He is quickly captured and taken as a slave, and befriends a skilled but questionable thief who helps him through the many trials of slavery, aiding in his eventual escape. Their paths split as Jonran stumbles into the protected elven lands while his friend finds a future with a resistance force fighting a corrupt human government.
Jonran falls in love with an elven woman in the midst of a rebellion that tears her race apart. As the two seek an end to the violence, they find themselves on a journey leading Jonran to a magic sword and a quest to help a wizard free his master who is locked in battle with an evil invading army.
That sword, combined with the crystals of the Elemental Lords, is the only hope to push back the enemy horde and save the world.

The book draws you in from the first page, and keeps you reading till the last page. Excellent story line, drama, action, love and friendship. Loved book one in this series can't wait for book two. I don't buy many books I read a lot of free or $.99 books but have paid for a few, this is the best buy in my library of free or paid for books.
I think this book would be good for general audiences there isn't any bad language or over the top gorie scenes in it. I think it is like watching a movie or a video game. I would recomend it to all my friends young and old.
This was my first introduction to this style of book and I enjoyed it very much.
The story kept my imagination turnning, it was very exciting reading about the big tree and the elven people, the portals and new worlds.
I would recommend this book and can't wait for the next one.
